"Starting a Business and Writing a Business Plan" is designed for individuals who are considering self-employment, or who may be at the beginning stages of starting a business. Delivered in a workshop format, this introductory session helps aspiring entrepreneurs assess their abilities to lead and manage a company, as well as evaluate market and sales potential for their products/services. Start-up costs, financing options, and business planning are introduced, along with necessary steps to getting started. The workshop will discuss each section of the business plan and how to start developing a start up cash flow.Additional information:The Michigan Small Business Development Center (SBDC) enhances Michigan s economic well-being by providing counseling, training, secondary market research for new ventures, existing small businesses and advanced technology companies. With offices statewide, the SBDC positively impacts the economy by strengthening existing companies, creating new jobs, retaining existing jobs, and assisting companies in defining their path to success.
